SOCIAL INTERESTS

CES has undertaken a wide range of environmental impact assessments, from abalone farms to heavy mineral mines to bio-fuel projects. We can therefore offer our services as specialist consultants and/or EIA managers for a range of projects. We offer the key services required to manage an EIA: overall project management; Government/authority liaison and permitting; specialist studies management; report compilation; project financial management; and engineering – environmental interface management.

We have excellent skills in public participation, which is one of the cornerstones of EIA. All public participation programmes are conducted with the utmost sensitivity, and always include local agencies to ensure buy-in from local interested and affected parties. We have developed our own database management programme to manage the entire public participation process.

Many of our staff are experts in their particular disciplines, and therefore we have expertise in specialist fields that cover the majority of studies required for most EIA’s. Where necessary, external consultants are sourced to ensure that the right person does the job.

The management of specialist input, by focusing the studies on the issues raised during scoping, and the interpretation and compilation of specialist reports receives speciali attention by CES, as this is a major component of a successful EIA. We pride ourselves in producing reports that provide environmentally sound advice that is pragmatic and implementable.
