Great Kei Quarries proposes to conduct prospecting for dimension stone on approximately 370,8 hectares of land, traversing numerous farm boundaries between the small towns of Keiskammahoek and Sutterheim. Four areas have been demarcated as potential exploration zones and these are located southwest of Stutterheim and northeast of Keiskammahoek on both farm lands and unalienated state land. It is envisaged that the exploration programme will include both invasive and non-invasive activities in the form of geophysical surveys, drilling, analyses and potentially bulk sampling.
